Bubbles of Nothing

The chocolate industry has repeatedly failed to adequately tackle labour exploitation in West African cocoa fields… bubbles of nothing. Go to and watch the “Bubbles of Nothing” video.

Take the opportunity to remind Big Chocolate about love and purpose this Valentine’s Day by sending this e-card to the industry body, the Confectionery Manufacturers Association.

If you’re concerned that the goods you buy – including the chocolate that you eat – might be made using trafficked or slave labour, the best approach is to seek out products that you know are produced ethically.

Visit to download an updated copy of the Good Chocolate Guide. The guide provides details on the ethical chocolate brands, including Fairtrade Certified chocolate, available in Australia and where you can buy them.

You can also read more about the challenge that World Vision’s Don’t Trade Lives campaign has put to the chocolate industry.
