Ivor and Emily’s wedding

14 February 2009 – Valentine’s day. Our friends Ivor and Emily were married today at Woodbridge House, a beautiful heritage building (built in 1885) overlooking the Swan River near the historic town of Guildford.

Ivor lived next door to my husband Peter when they were boys. After spending the past 25 years in South Africa Ivor returned to Australia in April 2008, and his partner Emily has short visits to Perth until the appropriate visa can be obtained to allow her to stay in Australia permanently.

It was a beautiful day for the wedding – not too hot – and just perfect for the outdoor reception under the trees.
